Jumpstart’s 16th annual Read for the Record is a high-visibility annual fall campaign engaging over
2 million participants who aim to:
1. Increase awareness about the critical importance and impact of early literacy
2. Make high-quality children’s books accessible for all children
3. Provide support for Jumpstart for Young Children’s work with early learners in underserved communities across the country
This year's book choice is "Amy Wu and the Patchwork Dragon" by Kat Zhang. It is a book about the celebration of cultural symbols, family, and self-affirmation.
Each Lower School teacher will be provided with a copy of this book to read a loud with their class on this date.
2 million participants who aim to:
