Established in 1965 by parents seeking a better educational opportunity for their children, Glades Day School is based on the traditional neighborhood school where high moral values, character, and scholastic achievement are emphasized.

Glades Day School is located in Belle Glade, Florida, a friendly rural town in western Palm Beach County. Belle Glade is located on the southeastern tip of Lake Okeechobee, and is known for its sugarcane industry, winter vegetables, recreational fishing, and outstanding athletic teams.

Glades Day School's philosophy is to provide an outstanding education that balances academic, athletic, and spiritual components that prepares students for both college and life.

The school fosters individual achievement and development through a wide variety of elective and enrichment courses, a strong program of extra-curricular activities, and an opportunity to join a number of school-supported activities and organizations that encourage moral and spiritual development. Close ties between administration, parents, teachers, and students are welcomed and encouraged in a pleasant, secure, and supportive atmosphere.

Glades Day School is located on a 30-acre campus northeast of Belle Glade. Physical facilities include eight buildings with multiple classrooms, media center, two science laboratories, two computer laboratories, a cafeteria-auditorium, a fine arts center that includes band and art rooms, recently remodeled air-conditioned athletics center, elementary playground, five athletic fields, and tennis courts.

The elementary school serves Pre-K3 through 6th grade. The high school serves students in grades 7-12. Close ties between the administration, parents, classroom teachers and students are welcomed and encouraged in a pleasant secure atmosphere for learning. The elementary curriculum encompasses the junior academic program as well as art, music, physical education, Spanish and computer skills.

At the high school level, a multi-track program of studies is offered: advanced academic, academic and general studies.  There is also an academy for those students who qualify and have an IEP. While all tracks focus on teaching each student the essential skills in the core curriculum areas of language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, the advanced academic track also focuses on college preparatory classes. Enrichment programs are provided in computer science, foreign language,  music and physical education. Additional features include interscholastic athletics for boys and girls, and several clubs and organizations.

Glades Day School maintains a uniform dress code policy to enhance student discipline and increase "esprit de corp." Admissions policies require a personal interview, transcripts, test results, and references. Financial aid is available in the form of tuition assistance.
