Founded in 1965 by parents, Glades Day School continues to be governed by parents in providing an alternative educational opportunity. Based on the traditional neighborhood school, Glades Day stresses high moral values, character and scholastic achievement.

Close ties between the administration, parents, classroom teachers and students are welcomed and encouraged in a pleasant, secure atmosphere for learning.

Glades Day School offers a balance of academic, athletic and extracurricular activities. Our graduates have attended and received degrees from some of the most prestigious colleges and universities in the country, including those in the Ivy League.

Glades Day provides students the opportunity to develop in a school setting, which in addition to our academic subjects, offers a full range of programs, including computer technology, foreign language and art.

Glades Day School has earned widespread recognition for its athletic as well as academic accomplishments. The Gators have won over 100 sports trophies, including seven state football championships. The Gators have appeared in a record 13 state football title games. Our Lady Gators have also won the state softball title and individuals have won wrestling and track and field state titles.

The Robert L. Mace Athletic Center is the centerpiece for  all  of the  sports  activities at  the school. It features a hardwood floor, an upstairs concession area an air-conditioned gym, and a newly renovated weight room. The Athletic Center provides both students and parents a state-of-the-art facility for athletics.
